Brandon Jenkins

Brandon Jenkins

We’re super excited to welcome Brandon Jenkins all the way from Austin, Texas. This amazing singer and songwriter has been partnering with excellent acts and crafting outstanding songs since the mid 1990s, and we couldn’t be happier to host him up in our Sawtooth Mountain backyard.

Power, sincerity and conviction are hallmarks of Brandon Jenkins the songwriter and Brandon Jenkins the singer.  He has made a name for himself as a songwriter able to tackle all slices of life with equal vigor.  As a vocalist, Jenkins possesses a country twang that crushes the metaphorical crutch of not judging a book by its cover that many folks would use to describe his appearance. It is unwise to simply dismiss Brandon Jenkins as a tattooed guitar wielding giant, although that is certainly part of his personality.  To truly understand Brandon Jenkins you must realize that he is a thoughtful and soul baring artist sharing his craft with audiences nightly and on each of his records.

Brandon Jenkins has been breaking musical ground and stereotypes since the mid 1990’s and continues to get better with each passing year.  In addition to his success as a solo artist, he is well known for his writing and co-writing of hit songs for other artists, most notably:  Stoney LaRue, Bleu Edmondson and Cross Canadian Ragweed.  Jenkins’ talents in all areas of music have allowed him to reach legendary status among Red Dirt aficionados, all while still being in the prime of his career.

His live shows, whether acoustic or featuring his rocking electric trio, are a spellbinding display of music mixing force and subtlety.  The diverse nature of his song catalog and the versatile dynamics of his musicianship allow him to conquer any audience he is in front of.

The Souveneers

The Souveneers

Visiting us from St. Joseph, Missouri, is the unique and talented group, The Souveneers. This awesome ensemble will feel right at home with their special blend of Americana and Honky-Tonk. Don’t miss your chance to check them out.

Hailing from the Missouri River Valley, and drawing on the rich musical heritage of Kansas City, THE SOUVENEERS are an original 5-piece roots/Americana act that will set your dusty boots on fire.
The sound is reminiscent of 50’s Honky Tonk and Rockabilly, but with enough Folk sensibility to sound more like a backroad in Texas than a Nashville high-rise on Music Row.
Great songwriting shines through well-matched voices and impressive pickin’ to make THE SOUVENEERS much more than a mimic of nostalgic sounds. This band’s unique and progressive take on the music they love, will break apart any preconceived notions you may have about the terms “twang”, “Honkytonk”, or “rockabilly”.

Hokum Hi-Flyers

We’re always very happy to welcome our good friends, the Hokum Hi-Flyers. We can always count on them for great, old-timey tunes and a fun performance. Check them out for sure!

Based in Boise, Idaho, the Hokum Hi-Flyers play old-time mountain music and other forms of unplugged American roots music on fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass, and harmonica. Part of the living tradition of “old, weird America,” they sing songs of love and murder, sin and redemption, whiskey and whimsy. High-spirited dance tunes will get you on your feet and hollerin’ at the rafters. Come chase away the blues at their monthly square dances at the Mardi Gras Ballroom in downtown Boise. They serve up hokum and they serve it hot.Image
